ABOUT ME

Hi my name is Robin, welcome to my home on the web. I have one son and five cats. I go to college fulltime. I was born in Fort Worth, TX. I have lived in almost every State in the Union. I didn't get to finish school; well really I didn't get to go to school that much. We were always moving around. I did get my GED though; made a very good grade on it too. I am disabled from two back surgeries, but I still try to do what I can. I have three brothers and one sister. My dad passed on in the late seventies, and my grandfather passed on in 2001. My mom is home bound with a lot of health problems. I had to put my grandmother in a nursing home in 2005 I sure hated doing that, but it was for her own good. Being there she can have around the clock care and get hot meals. Neither my mom nor my grandmother can crochet; my great-grandmother crocheted; so I guess I took that from her. I love crocheting more then any other craft that I do. I have been crocheting for about 25 to 30 years, maybe more. It is a very addictive hobby. I crochet for a variety of reasons. I crochet when I am stressed, and at other times I crochet with the hopes of selling some of the finished items so that it will help with the cost of my crochet supplies! I crochet gifts for friends and family as well. They really enjoy that. I love to see there faces when I give them things that I have made. I also try to make a few things like hats, lap Afghans and house slippers for the nursing home residents. They are the ones that seem to enjoy it more then anyone else. I make a few things for kids that need something warm too. I have put a few pictures of Granbury, TX on here for you all to see where my family is from. A Very beautiful town. I will also add a few TEXAS things too. I will be adding a page about Texas and some history about Texas. There's a lot of history in Texas; some things I never knew until I started doing my family genealogy. I will also be adding a few pages of my family genealogy.
